Winter Wonderland

Our first snow fall and it is still coming. We have atleast 6-8 inches so far.

Jane loves to be pulled on the sleigh. Alex enjoys it too, but not as much as Jane. Alex is more like me in that he does not like the cold and the feeling of snow when it soaks his clothes.

Say Cheese!

Misc Snapshots

Enjoying the Season

This past weekend we had so much fun making a gingerbread house as a family. The kiddos also enjoyed eating the decorations for our house :)!

We had been looking for a bit for a train to go under our tree. I found this great one at hospice and we all really enjoy watching it run. It reminds me of one I grew up watching under our tree as a little girl. Alex and Jane enjoy playing a game where they try to stop it as it goes around.

Alex especially loves the train. Generally his first words in the morning are, "choo, choo on".

Disneyland, Part 1...

The Christmas Parade on Main St was spectacular! We all loved it so much. Rick especially found the parade to be a highlight. I was bummed to discover that we missed the Electric Light Parade by a week. Disney only brings it back during peak seasons.

Our trip was fun, but as you can see, very exhausting too! Alex fell asleep on our way to the hotel for a nap after lunch.

Goofys Kitchen was by far one of the most memorable experiences. We received a free character breakfast with our vacation package and for anyone with little ones, it is precious! Alex was in heaven, he kept screaming and calling out for "oofy". Jane was more resistent, but Goofy came to our table and really got Jane giggling.

This was by far Rick's most favorite ride. The Disney Railroad takes you all through out the park, so for moms and dads who are worn out from carrying little ones, the train picks you up and takes you where you want to go. Very cool!

Here we are on "Umbo", according to Alex. Fantasyland was so wonderful and magical for our family.

Disneyland, Part 2...

Main St Disneyland

Alexander was so cute! He just loved hugging and kissing all the characters; from Buzz Light Year to each Princess :). Jane enjoyed each character, but was definitely more reserved about approaching them. Jane and I got to go to a Royal Princess Ball where all the Princesses taught us how to dance. At the end of the ball, each junior prince and princess was crowned.

Santa even made a special visit from the North Pole! We got to meet his reindeer and ride in his sleigh. The kiddos were most excited about the candy canes they got after the pictures with Santa.

We all had so much fun together. We spent most of our time in Fantasyland. Jane loved the Tiki Room, Pirates, Sm World, Alice in Wonderland and the Tea Cups. Alexander loved Dumbo, Alice in Wonderland, Sm World, and Disney Railroad to name a few.

Cousins

Decorating the Christmas Tree

SAVE A FOREST, BUY PLASTIC
This year Rick decided not to fuss with a real tree and we joyfully purchased our first "fake" tree. It is so awesome...we have no idea why we didn't do this sooner. You simply pop it out of the box and poof... a prelit christmas beauty :)!

We are a camera shy family...

Mommy's Favorite part of seeing the tree decorated is having the angel placed on top. This year Jane really wanted to be the one to put on the angel.

Thanksgiving 2008

A typical day with the Carrs...

Lights, Camera, Action!

Storytime is a special part of our day. Alex loves to read books about "bob" (veggietales), little blessings, anything Thomas, the bible, and more. Jane enjoys princess stories, her bible, five speckled frogs and more. We are enjoying sharing devotions daily as a family.

Jane sporting her new top from the Pfaff's in Guatemala!! Thank you Karis!! Jane loved receiving her package from you. Cousins are special.

Living in where we do, we are so spoiled with such beauty and numerous routes for walking. Often we enjoy walking during naptime and our kiddos usually fall asleep.

A Princess Tea Party

Here are our princesses!! We just love parenthood...such a blessing. Rick prayed over lunch where the prince and princesses enjoyed princess punch, heart shaped sandwiches and apple slices (all picked out and requested by the birthday girl). Everyone had a really good time.

16 hours later...Our masterpeice was complete. Look out Martha Stewart :)! Jane had her heart set on a "pink princess castle" cake for weeks. It was a very fun project...Rick and I shared many laughs while creating her cake.

The Royal Family...King Charming, Queen Aurora, Princess Cinderella and Prince Robin Hood
